TECHNICAL ARCHITECT

Main Job Function/Purpose:
This technical architect, in cooperation with the pre-sales and post-sales teams will engage with strategic customers to, 1) understand customer requirements and validate Kabira’s proposal 2) architect the solution and drive implementation 3) interact with all Kabira organizations to ensure customer success.
This Technical Architect has a technical background with:
- Expertise in development of transactional systems,
- Transaction processing software product knowledge,
- Expertise in designing transactional solutions in financial services or telecommunication markets
- 10+ years of experience in design of custom large scale software development projects
- Advanced technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation of transactional systems.
- Expert analytical and design skills at a system architecture level. In depth experience in requirements specification, system architecture, project planning and implementation.
- Excellent understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance.
- Awareness of business issues as they impact overall project plans.
- Recognized reference and central point for technical issues across groups and products.
- Strong customer-facing communications and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills
Key Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years customer facing experience as consultant
- 8+ years experience as a Systems Analyst/Technical Architect in transactional software development or 5+ years experience as an Technical Architect in the telecommunications industry
- 5+ years experience in requirements gathering, capture and analysis with projects.
- 5+ years experience leading custom application development teams as a technical architect.
- 5+ years in the market of transactional applications
- Knowledge of requisite industry standards: C/C++, OO modeling and methodologies, UNIX development platforms, UML, Transaction Monitors (Tuxedo, ENCINA, …)
- Architectural design and quality assurance experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in Japanese and English
- Willingness to travel at least 50% of time
- Masters in Engineering or Computer Sciences

STRATEGIC ACCOUNT MANAGER

Main Job Function/Purpose:
Sales position primarily responsible for sales into securities, e-commerce, etc. for Kabira Japan KK.
- Achievement of annual bookings target
- Communicate business and technical value of the Kabira product offering
- Prospect and qualify needs and articulate business oriented solutions based on the Kabira product suite
- Create and or deliver product presentations to prospects
- Negotiate and close complex sales across departments
- Foster and maintain customer relationships
- Sell profitable business
Responsibilities:
- Cold call, follow up on leads
- Uncover new opportunities
- Assist in qualifying both business and technical value at targeted prospects
- Analyze business needs and assess applicability of Kabira products
- Create a context specific solution that meets the goals of the client
- Create strategic selling plans for targeted accounts
- Present solutions, proposal, contracts, etc. to all levels of client management
- Respond to RFPs and RFIs
Skill Set/ Qualifications:
- Excellent presentation skills as well as the ability to negotiate difficult or sensitive situations diplomatically
- Demonstrated ability to understand client's perspectives in all interactions, to analyze their needs in order to lead them to our business opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree desirable.
- Requires proven sales record selling infrastructure/middleware software.
- Experience with sales of application software a must
- Experience selling Java application servers a plus
- Experience selling application infrastructure software, such as application servers, a plus
- Good command of speaking/listening/writing English.
- Ability to communicate effectively at different levels
- Analytical and problem solver, ability to work on own initiative
- Adaptable, flexible and open minded
- Team player
