Kabira Transaction PlatformTM (KTP) Selected Finalist for “Best e/m-Commerce / Payments / Collections Implementation” Award at World BSS Awards 2008
London, UK, — May 29, 2008 - Kabira Technologies Inc., a leader in extreme transaction processing software for global enterprises,has been selected as a finalist for the World BSS Awards, to be presented at the BIMS (Billing & Information Management Systems) 2008 conference on June 10, 2008.
Kabira is nominated in the category for Best e/m-Commerce / Payments / Collections Implementation which honors the effective implementation of all (or part) of systems and business processes that deliver financial transaction processing capability for commerce, payments and/or collections.
The World BSS Awards help raise awareness of the significance of billing and information management systems and processes to the communications industry, identifying key trends and rewarding BSS best practices.
In its award entry, Kabira demonstrated how its Kabira Transaction Platform software (KTP) supports Russia’s second largest mobile communications operator, VimpelCom, and its “Beepay XP” payment system. By implementing KTP, VimpelCom can better expand its customer base and improve business performance.
Working with its partners Jet Infosystems and KabiraTM, VimpelCom developed and implemented a new payment processing system. Developed on KTP, the new “Beepay XP” system benefits from very high transaction throughput and availability provided by the 64-bit memory-resident KTP technology to support several hundred business transactions per second, and be able to continue to scale even higher.
The World BSS Awards are widely regarded as the highest recognition in the industry for BSS excellence. Launched in 1997, this will be the twelfth year that these awards will be presented.
Winners will be announced at BIMS 2008 in Amsterdam on Tuesday, June, 10, 2008.
