Kabira® Brings Latest Technology to Premier Pan-African Telecom Event, AfricaCom
London, UK — November 6, 2008 - Kabira Technologies, Inc., a leader in extreme transaction processing software for global enterprises, will showcase its industry-leading provisioning, charging and mobile payments solutions for communication service providers at this year’s AfricaCom. The 3G AfricaCom conference and exhibition will be held on November 18th and 19th in Cape Town, South Africa, and is the premier event for the pan-African communications industry.
Kabira will be exhibiting at stand C20A and is a major provider of crucial infrastructure for business applications, such as service-aware charging, provisioning and service activation and mobile payment gateways for telecom services and card payment processing. Many of the continent’s telecommunications providers have already engaged with or deployed Kabira technology including operators in Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Morocco, Ghana, Botswana, Senegal and Mali.
Philippe Lavigne, EMEA region alliance director for Kabira said, “Africa is an important market for Kabira. Our technology underpins the rapid growth in mobile communications services and will play a critical role in how African service providers deliver new services including mobile Internet and payments.”
Kabira will present the latest version of its Service Fulfillment solution at this year’s AfricaCom. This solution can be used for general service activation and provisioning for wireline, wireless and multi-play packages that include high speed data, TV and wireless content. The solution uses the Kabira Provisioning and Service Activation™ (KPSA™) product, which is specifically designed to meet the need for telecom service providers to better integrate with legacy provisioning systems, and to provide greater support for new developments in customer auto- and self-provisioning. The KPSA solution is implemented on 3G/GPRS/CDMA, WiFi/WiMAX and VoIP/NGN networks worldwide.
Other Kabira solutions to be presented at AfricaCom include Kabira Charging™ 2.0 software and the Kabira Mobile Transaction Hub. Kabira Charging 2.0 enables service providers to achieve substantial business efficiencies while supporting the rapid creation of new product offerings and creative charging models – including multi-play bundles. The Kabira Mobile Transaction Hub is an open and flexible transaction processing platform that allows telecom carriers, banks and service providers to offer a wide range of mobile payment services, such as top-up and reload, money and airtime transfer, and payment for goods and services.
In addition to demonstrating its latest solution portfolio, Kabira considers AfricaCom an excellent opportunity to identify and recruit new partners to help serve the abundant African marketplace.
